PowerSport Institute – Off to the Races

PSI continues to support the sport

This past weekend, several of the staff and students of PowerSport Institute in Cleveland, Ohio hit the road to Silver Springs, N.Y. to attend the WNYMA Motocross races. (www.wnyma.com)
PSI does this to support the organization and it’s racers in many ways, as well as exposing PSI students to the real world of power-sports in the field (literally).
Below is a first hand report by Denise Thompson of PSI:
PSI visited their second racetrack of the WNYMA series this weekend in Silver Springs, NY.  This beautiful track in the rolling hills of upstate NY is well maintained and had a lot of race friendly amenities including bike wash stations and showers.

PSI Instructor Alex Rossborough put in his time working during the weekend by conducting a top end tear down inspection of a Suzuki RMZ450 motor seminar.

After work came some play time where Alex raced in the 50+ category and finished just off the podium in 4th.   Also over the weekend the name of every racer was entered in a drawing held at intermission on Sunday to win a pit bike donated courtesy of WNYMA and PSI.  Congratulations go out to the lucky winner Buck Smith who said he told his buddy he’d be driving it out of the tent as soon as he saw it!

Next track PSI will visit is Miles Mountain in Elkland, PA over Labor Day weekend.  Hope to see you in the dirt!

PSI Display – It’s not bragging if you can do it!
Alex conducting a very cool seminar
Alex comes in 4th place in the 50+ class

Everyone at PSI would like to thank the WNYMA for a great weekend.
